HealthShare Program Costs

As a multiple-share health care coverage program, costs are shared among the employer, employee, local providers and community and public funding. The State of Minnesota and Generations Health Care Initiatives are major contributors to the program.

Monthly Program Costs

Businesses must pay a minimum of $60 per enrolled employee. If the business opts to contribute to monthly costs for employees' family members, they may give any amount or percentage as long as the contribution rate is the same for all employees.

The employee portion of the premium is $67 per month.  Each member has the opportunity to earn membership in the Wellness Rewards Option, which is $53 per month, upon initiating the Wellness Rewards requirements.
